The
vast Port of Liverpool, owned by Peel Holdings, is one of the UK's major Ports & covers both
banks of the River Mersey, both in Liverpool & Birkenhead. The Port
handles over 30 million tonnes of freight a year, including one third
of all freight moving between Britain & Ireland. |

ISLE OF MAN STEAM PACKET TERMINAL From
the M62 follow the signs to the Ferries along the A5080 & then the
A5047 for 5 miles.
The Terminal is located off Princes Parade. P & O IRISH SEA TERMINAL From the M58/M57 interchange follow the signs for the Docks/Seaforth along the A5036 for about 3 miles. At the 1st roundabout take the 3rd exit & then the 2nd exit on the next roundabout underneath the flyover. Then take the left fork into Seaforth Terminal - Liverpool Freeport Entrance & follow the signs to the Ferry Terminal. |

Liverpool Lime Street Railway Station is located approx 2 miles from the ferry terminals and offers connections to all over the UK. Taxis are available at most times on the station rank but you should allow at least 60 minutes for bus or taxi transfers. |
