Situated just to the north of the Naval Base is the Continental Ferry Port, which is the UK's 2nd busiest, offering both passenger & freight services.
To the south of the Base by Portsmouth Harbour Station, is the Isle of Wight (Ryde) Passenger Ferry Terminal, & further to the south, off Gunwharf Road is the Isle of Wight (Fishbourne) Car Ferry Terminal.
Portsmouth is a worldclass destination as well as the home of the Royal Navy, and offers fantastic attractions including the new Spinnaker Tower, Gunwharf Quays, the historical Dockyard, as well as it's own seaside resort Southsea.

Portsmouth has 2 rail stations with train services from both London Victoria & Waterloo Stations.
Portsmouth & Southsea Station is in Commercial Road approx 3 miles from the ferry port.
Portsmouth Harbour Station is at the Hard Interchange next to the Historic Dockyard, and also next to the Isle of Wight Terminal ( foot passengers ) & a short walk from the Isle of Wight Terminal (vehicles).
Taxis are also available at most times on both station's ranks.

There is a covered drop off & pick up area for foot passengers beside the main passenger Terminal as well as an allocated coach park adjacent.
There is also a coach station at the Hard Interchange next to the Historic Dockyard, and also next to the Isle of Wight Terminal ( foot passengers ).

The new multi-storey car park provides 516 parking spaces just metres from the main ferry terminal. It is well lit, secure & open 24 hours a day. Charges start at £ 2.50 for 2 hours, £ 10 upto 24 hours, £ 17.50 for 48 hours, upto £87.50 for 10 days then a daily rate after 10 days of £ 7.00 per day.

ISLE OF WIGHT CAR & PASSENGER FERRY TERMINAL
The car park is opposite the Car Ferry Terminal in Gunwharf Road, which is approx 10 mins walk to the Passenger Terminal. Charges are a daily rate of £ 5.40. First 20 mins are FREE.

CONTINENTAL FERRY TERMINAL
The Main Continental Ferry Terminal offers disabled toilet facilities & low level pay phones. Assistance is available for passengers with special needs, arrangements for which should be made when booking or at the latest, checking in.
ISLE OF WIGHT CAR & PASSENGER FERRY TERMINAL
The Isle of Wight Terminals offer disabled toilets & a special mini-bus service for wheelchair users is available upon request.
